Par exemple au d\u00e9but de ces projets, nous avons fait don d\u2019un tracteur. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 lui aujourd\u2019hui, de jeunes hommes d'une coop\u00e9rative agricole exploitent six hectares de terre, sous la direction de pr\u00eatres du dioc\u00e8se de Niamey. Ce tracteur, en outre, a permis d\u2019am\u00e9liorer l\u2019\u00e9tat des chemins et des pistes. L'archev\u00eaque Laurent rapporte qu'il fonctionne tr\u00e8s bien encore aujourd'hui.<\/p>\n<p>Sous la direction d'une religieuse, une importante coop\u00e9rative agricole f\u00e9minine s'est organis\u00e9e ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Les femmes cultivent ensemble des surfaces de terre et produisent des l\u00e9gumes, du ma\u00efs, du manioc, etc. notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des puits de surface ou ce que l'on appelle \u00ab\u00a0maar\u00a0\u00bb, qui d\u00e9signe un trou am\u00e9nag\u00e9 pour recueillir et stocker l'eau de pluie pendant la saison s\u00e8che, qui dure plusieurs mois. Car cela, en effet, est bel et bien possible m\u00eame dans ces r\u00e9gions du Sahel\u00a0: on peut voir de vastes oasis vertes et luxuriantes au milieu de paysages gris et secs qui ressemblent surtout \u00e0 de la savane. Oignons, salades, choux, etc. - tout y pousse de fa\u00e7on surprenante dans des jardins remarquablement soign\u00e9s. Un signe tr\u00e8s encourageant !<\/p>\n<p>La vente de ces l\u00e9gumes sur le march\u00e9 repr\u00e9sente une source de revenus consid\u00e9rable pour les femmes. Souvent, leur travail ainsi que la possibilit\u00e9 d'irrigation permettent m\u00eame une culture de contre-saison et un commerce lucratif. En parall\u00e8le, un projet d'\u00e9levage de b\u00e9tail est men\u00e9 sur la base du microcr\u00e9dit\u00a0: une somme d'argent est confi\u00e9e \u00e0 chaque femme pour l'achat d'une ch\u00e8vre ou d'un veau. Elle \u00e9l\u00e8ve l'animal et le vend plus tard sur les march\u00e9s de b\u00e9tail de la r\u00e9gion. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019argent de la vente, elle subvient \u00e0 ses besoins, rembourse son cr\u00e9dit et peut acqu\u00e9rir un nouvel animal. Ce projet d\u00e9di\u00e9 aux femmes est soutenu depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es par le forum des femmes entrepreneures du Bas-Rhin. Chaque ann\u00e9e lors de la Nuit du cin\u00e9ma f\u00e9minin et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 d\u2019autres organisations de collecte de fonds, les femmes entrepreneures du Bas-Rhin soutiennent avec beaucoup d\u2019engagement les femmes entrepreneures du Niger.<\/p>\n<p>Dans ces deux projets en faveur des femmes, des cours d'alphab\u00e9tisation leur sont \u00e9galement propos\u00e9s, ainsi que des v\u00e9los si leur lieu de r\u00e9sidence est \u00e9loign\u00e9 des jardins. Ces projets se veulent \u00e9galement multi-ethniques et inter-religieux, autrement dit toutes les femmes en b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient, sans distinction ethnique ou religieuse. C\u2019est donc aussi une action en faveur de la paix.<\/p>\n<p>Non loin de la zone de culture se trouve un maar, un point d'eau. Il permet d'irriguer le champ presque toute l'ann\u00e9e (du moins une partie). Les gens peuvent ainsi cultiver du riz, des l\u00e9gumes, du ma\u00efs, du millet, du bl\u00e9 et des fruits et se nourrir par leur propre travail. De plus, les jeunes ont la perspective d'\u00eatre form\u00e9s dans l'agriculture. Le projet doit grandir pas \u00e0 pas. Le souhait explicite de l'archev\u00eaque Laurent Lompo est qu'il \u00e9volue vers un projet de formation agricole pour les jeunes et qu'il porte ainsi des fruits pour toute la
