Er ist der Generalsekret\u00e4r von Caritas Jerusalem und \u00fcber APH-Kuratoriumsmitglied, Weihbischof Rolf Lohmann, und Abt Nikodemus Schnabel, Dormitio-Abtei in Jerusalem, gelangten wir direkt zu ihm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\u201eDas war eine beeindruckende F\u00fcgung \u2013 bis heute! Immer h\u00e4lt er Kontakt, informiert, schickt Fotos, aktuelle Videos zur Projektarbeit\u201c, so Dr. Elke Kleuren-Schryvers, Vorstandsvorsitzende der Stiftung Aktion pro Humanit\u00e4t. \u201eImmer wieder findet er engagierte und qualifizierte Helfer und Helferinnen, die zu den Menschen hinausgingen und -gehen \u2013 mitten in die Katastrophe. Ihnen helfen, mit dem was da ist, ihnen beistehen. Selbst in den schlimmsten, ersch\u00fctterndsten Zeiten das Gaza-Krieges, als die Menschen zu Tausenden hinter Absperrgittern sa\u00dfen, um eine kleine Schale mit Essen zu bekommen. Ausgemergelt, kraftlos, am Ende. Wenn sie nur noch allein in den Tr\u00fcmmern ihrer Wohnungen sa\u00dfen, v\u00f6llig verloren, dann waren die Mitarbeitenden von Caritas Jerusalem pl\u00f6tzlich da, weil sie sie aktiv gesucht, aufgesucht haben\u201c.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Immer wieder konnte die Aktion pro Humanit\u00e4t dank der Unterst\u00fctzung und der Kompassion ihrer Freunde und F\u00f6rderer diese gro\u00dfartige und maximal mutige, beherzte Arbeit des Caritas Jerusalem-Teams tatkr\u00e4ftig unterst\u00fctzen. Nahrungsmittel, Milchpulver f\u00fcr die hungernden Kinder, Medikamente etc. Kompassion im Wortsinn: das Bewusstsein f\u00fcr das Leid anderer, zusammen mit dem aktiven Wunsch und dem Handeln, dieses zu lindern.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Aktuell, am 14. M\u00e4rz, meldete sich Anton Asfar wieder bei der APH und das Vorstandsteam tauschte sich vor allem zu den aktuellen medizinischen Erfordernissen f\u00fcr die verletzten Menschen dort aus. Doch pl\u00f6tzlich unterbrach er die Kommunikation und schrieb: \u201eSirens are on now in Jerusalem&#8230; we pray for the end of this regional war and may our Lord inspire these fanatic leaders.\u201c<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">APH hat schon vor Wochen signalisiert, helfen zu wollen &#8211; besonders traumatisierten Kindern \u2013 z.B. mit der Einrichtung Trauma-Therapiezentrums. Auch Menschen, die ihre Gliedma\u00dfen, Arme, Beine in diesem Krieg durch Notamputationen verloren haben, sind eine bedeutende Zielintention der Hilfe von APH. Diese Menschen sind durch solche Not-Operationen gl\u00fccklich nicht verblutet oder an einer t\u00f6dlichen Sepsis gestorben. Sie leben noch, doch was bedeutet ihnen ihr so schwer ver\u00e4ndertes Leben noch in all den Tr\u00fcmmern ihrer Heimat?<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Lange fehlte es an allem. Die Familie hatte das zerbombte Wohnhaus in Gaza verlassen m\u00fcssen, kam in eine Fl\u00fcchtlingsunterkunft, die kurz nach ihrer Ankunft bombardiert wurde. Nabil war unter den schwer verletzten Opfern. Nach dieser Amputation kam er in das Prothesen-Projekt von Caritas Jerusalem. Alles dort war noch desolat. Die Wege dorthin, die M\u00f6glichkeiten und die Situation im Zentrum selbst.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Nabil erz\u00e4hlt in dem Video: \u201eHier bekam ich einen Rollstuhl, mit dem konnte ich mich das erste Mal so einigerma\u00dfen eigenst\u00e4ndig von der Stelle bewegen. Ich f\u00fchlte mich in diesen Wochen nach der Amputation wie paralysiert. Doch als ich einige Zeit hier, im orthop\u00e4dischen Zentrum war, wurde ich wieder zum Leben erweckt und mit meinen beiden Prothesen jetzt f\u00fchle ich mich wie neu geboren! Wir finden hier orthop\u00e4die-technische und physiotherapeutische Begleitung, Trainingsm\u00f6glichkeiten und das alles bringt uns wieder auf die Beine \u2013 wortw\u00f6rtlich. Gott sei Dank! Ich kann mich wieder frei bewegen, auch wenn der Weg hart war. Doch ich habe meine Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit wiedergefunden, kann mich selbst versorgen. Ich bin Gott so dankbar!\u201c<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Im neu hergerichteten Prothesen-Trainingscenter von Caritas Jerusalem in Gaza werden Prothesen von den Orthop\u00e4die-Mechanikern
